Information we handle

When you choose the nearby-places feature, the app requests foreground location access. Your coordinates are sent securely to our guide service and used to find and sort nearby places. A recent location may be stored locally on your device for offline use and is removed when you leave the places screen. Location access is optional and can be denied or revoked in device settings.

The app stores downloaded guide content, preferences, and service-worker caches on your device so that parts of the guide can work offline. You can clear this information through the app/site settings or by uninstalling the app.

Analytics and technical data

We use Google Analytics to understand app usage and improve the guide. This may process device, browser, interaction, approximate-location, and diagnostic information according to Google's privacy terms. We do not use precise GPS location for advertising.

Sharing, sale, and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate, secure, and analyze the guide, or when required by law. Locally cached information remains on your device until it is cleared. Service-provider retention is governed by their terms and our configuration.

Children and security

The guide is intended for a general pilgrimage audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We use HTTPS and reasonable safeguards, but no electronic service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and contact
